Snow is expected in the Troodos Mountains on Tuesday , while rain and isolated storms are expected in lower-lying areas.

Skies will be cloudy over most parts of the island and temperatures will rise to 19 degrees Celsius inland and up to eight degrees Celsius in the mountains.

At night the sky will remain cloudy, with light fog possible in some areas .

Inland, temperatures will drop to six degrees Celsius, on the coast to ten degrees Celsius and in the mountains, where frost is likely to form, to two degrees Celsius.

The weather will remain largely unchanged on Wednesday. Storms are possible in the eastern half of the island in the afternoon, and colder weather is expected on Thursday.

The colder weather will bring snow in the mountains , which could even extend to lower lying areas .

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly by Friday.

On Tuesday morning, the snow depth at Troodos Square was two centimeters, while the snow depth at the top of Mount Olympus was eleven centimeters .
