Police arrested three men and one woman in Larnaca and Nicosia on Thursday for seizing 8.5 kg of cannabis.

According to authorities, significant amounts of narcotics, money and other evidence were seized during a search of two vehicles and houses by the Ykan anti-drug unit.

Over three kilograms of cannabis were found in one of the vehicles of a 25-year-old, and later over one kilogram of cannabis was found in his house in Larnaca.

During a search of the car of a 27-year-old suspect, three mobile phones and a metal shredder with traces of cannabis were found.

The third suspect, a 35-year-old, was caught by the police trying to escape from his house with a box full of almost 4 kg of cannabis and 16,700 euros in cash.

Later, his house in Nicosia was searched and another 37 grams of cannabis, two metal grinders, three mobile phones, a half-smoked cigarette containing cannabis and a sum of money were found.

The fourth suspect, a 28-year-old woman, was present at the crime scene.
