Two dead in separate road accidents in Nicosia
On Saturday morning, two tragic road accidents occurred in different parts of Nicosia, each of which killed an elderly person. 

The first accident occurred around 13:00 on Gregoris Afxentiou Street in Ayia Varvara: A vehicle with an elderly woman as a passenger collided head-on with another car - the woman succumbed at the scene of the accident. She was later identified as Andriana Lefteeri (80) from England. 

About an hour and a half later, another tragic incident occurred in the Pera Orinis district: a 19-year-old driver hit a 77-year-old man who was trying to cross the road. The seriously injured man was taken to the Nicosia General Hospital, but died there of his injuries. He was identified as Demetris Skoufari (77) and 

the police have launched investigations in both cases to clarify the exact circumstances and causes of the accidents.
