World War 3? The predictions of Alois Irlmaier from Upper Bavaria

Alois Irlmaier – What the "Seer of Freilassing" is said to have really predicted about Europe

An MFRadio.de background report

1. Who was Alois Irlmaier?
Alois Irlmaier (1894–1959) was an Upper Bavarian well builder who became known after the Second World War for alleged predictions of missing soldiers and bombing raids. Many people came to him at the time because they needed facts, orientation and hope in the chaotic post-war period.
Irlmaier polarized during his lifetime:
  • Some saw in him an extraordinarily clairvoyant person.
  • Others considered him a highly sensitive observer who could interpret human behavior patterns very well.
  • There was never scientifically verifiable clairvoyance.
Today, his statements are primarily contemporary historical documents that show how much people search for answers in times of crisis – a pattern that we will see again in 2025.

2. His darkest visions for Europe
Conversations, press reports from the 1940s/50s and later collections give rise to a recurring scenario that Irlmaier allegedly described. The most important points:
a) Omens: prosperity, loss of values and great migrations
He spoke of a phase in which Europe lives in abundance, but at the same time loses internal stability. Many people from other regions come to the country – a description that today is often associated with modern migration movements.
b) Economic crisis and social tensions
According to Irlmaier, prosperity is to be followed by a sharp slump: inflation, protests, political blockades and the formation of social camps. Elements that we are also observing in parts of Europe at the moment.
c) Trigger of a major conflict
Irlmaier describes an attack at an international conference in Eastern Europe that acts like a spark. After that, it is expected to escalate "abruptly" – a military conflict that catches Europe unprepared.
d) War scenario in Europe
His clearest statements:
  • Surprise attack from the east.
  • Three rapid military advances ("Armyworms").
  • Massive refugee movements.
  • Fighting in Italy, France and possibly England.
  • A parallel major war in the Middle East.
Currently, many things are reminiscent of geopolitical tensions, but Irlmaier himself never gave concrete dates or nations.
e) "Three Days of Darkness"
Probably the most dramatic element of his visions
  • : A poisonous dust or fog that is life-threatening.
  • People should stay in the house, seal windows, not use water from outside.
  • Power outages, darkness, chaos.
  • Duration: about three days.
It remains unclear whether the image is based on chemical warfare agents, nuclear fallout theories or purely symbolic ideas.
f) After that, a "new start"
Europe is to emerge severely decimated, politically reorganized and morally "cleansed". A milder climate and a new economic upswing were also described.

3. Critical classification
A modern, sober look shows that
✔ many sources do not come directly from Irlmaier
A large part was compiled decades later – so exaggerations and interpretations are hardly avoidable.
✔ His pictures have an archetypal effect
of
economic crisis, war in the East, social division – these motifs are historically frequent and not exclusively visionary.
✔ No scientific proof of true clairvoyance
His "hit rates" are based on memories, not on verifiable prediction protocols.
✔ Nevertheless, his statements strike a chord with many people
Especially in times of:
  • War in Ukraine
  • , Middle East escalations,
  • economic crises,
  • migration
  • , political loss of confidence
... his visions are again shared en masse.
The point is: Irlmaier does not describe time, but states – and these conditions are similar to many developments that we will see in real life in 2025.

4. What does this have to do with the present?
Our MFRadio community – expats, entrepreneurs, free spirits and people who don't blindly rely on the mainstream – often asks the question:
"Is Europe tipping right now? And if so, where to?"
Irlmaier's scenario is not a reliable plan for the future. But it acts as a mirror that shows us what can happen when:
  • politics becomes unstable,
  • trust in institutions dwindles,
  • global conflicts escalate,
  • societies are divided.
It is not so much a prophecy as a warning of the consequences of political and economic hubris.
For many emigrants, this is a reason to position themselves more independently: legally, financially, geographically and mentally.

Conclusion
Alois Irlmaier remains a fascinating figure in contemporary German history. His pictures are drastic, sometimes contradictory, but they touch on issues that really burden Europe today.
Whether he could see into the future is unproven.
That his warnings are gaining in importance again today – that is undeniable.

Alois Irlmaier was questioned by American military authorities after the Second World War, and for a very simple reason:
➡️ he had allegedly predicted precise bombing raids several times during the war.
➡️ He helped families to "find" missing soldiers – often with surprisingly correct information.
This made the Allies – especially the US Army – prick up their ears. They wanted to rule out that he had secret military information or was part of a spy network.

What has been handed down about this:
Several newspaper reports from 1945–1949 mention that US officers interrogated him because he is said to have given too precise information about bomb targets, troop movements or deaths.
✔ The Americans are said to have checked whether he had military contacts, radios or sources of information.
✔ The result, according to reports at the time:
No evidence of espionage – Irlmaier actually only seemed to use "his inspirations".
✔ After the interrogation, he was released again and later even occasionally called in by German authorities in missing persons cases.
Why is this detail important?
Because it shows:
  • The Allies considered his abilities at least unusual enough to test them.
  • He was not a marginal figure, but known throughout Bavaria and actually taken seriously by the authorities.
Whether he was really clairvoyant is another question – but:
➡️ The fact that the Americans questioned him is historically well documented and not a myth.
